You are too good. I started having 2 memes a day on the front page of politics and the mod you are talking about started slowing my stuff down. Where I would go from submitted to featured in just a few minutes, I suddenly had my stuff featured at times when no one would see them unless they dug down 15 to 20 pages. Keep up great memes like that one and don't give up.
