Just because it happened right before the election doesn’t mean that it’s fake. Almost all elections have something big happen close to Election Day. Also the story was confirmed by The Washington Post and Fox News.

No, it wasn't confirmed; because news organizations do NOT reveal their anonymous sources to other news organizations; and so what happened was NEW anonymous sources that cannot be fact checked confirmed that they BELIEVE in the original anonymous sources . . . that cannot be fact checked. On a note of actual sanity, however, over 200 former colonels and generals and admirals endorsed Trump today because he . . . believes in supporting the military. Oh dear!

If the media had reported using anonymous sources that Joe Biden had called fallen soldiers “suckers” and “losers”, would that still be fake news?

On another note Donald Trump questioned the late Senator John McCain’s heroism in the Vietnam War because he was captured. That was in the same interview where he called McCain a “loser” because he lost the election in 2008, it is a common mistake that Trump called McCain a loser for being captured, he did not do that, he question his heroism instead.

McCain was a political rival. The President joked about a political rival and the entire audience laughed. But, like most hoaxes, this joke offered the kernel of truth needed to fabricate the story that he make disparaging comments about all vets. Why in the world would he say anything like this about all vets? They are not his political rivals. He has shown nothing but admiration for the boots-on-the-ground soldiers defending America. There's no logical reason he would say anything like that. Most important, its not funny. The joke about liking people who aren't captured was originally written by Chris Rock. It's funny because it throws a sideways jab about someone who is otherwise treated with untouchable respect. Disparaging all Troops offers no similar line of humor.

The anonymous source cannot be “confirmed” unless they say who they are and where they heard and who else was there? Otherwise it’s a bullshit unverifiable story

Already a key part of the story had been disproven. The reported reason Trump did not go to the cemetery has been confirmed false by non-anonymous witness and emails.
The helicopter was non-operational that day and personnel in charge of security determined travel by vehicle in slow moving heavy traffic was unsafe.
