Governor Cuomo signed an executive order mandating nursing homes take in patients who had tested positive for COVID-19, instead of sending them to the Mercy Hospital ship USS comfort or to the makeshift field hospital in Javits Center.

what about the PANIC that caused? So much he stayed quiet for 3 more months about a virus he knew was deadly- great leadership?

The deaths in China were all over the news. What is your point? News reported models that showed MILLIONS dying. If somebody didn’t think it was potentially deadly, they had their head in the sand. Why would Trump have to come out and make it sound any worse than it already was?

To say that Trump did nothing is completely false. Perhaps he could’ve done something differently-why don’t you suggest what YOU would’ve done differently. Hindsight is 2020

He told the reporter in Feb- it was deadly and highly contagious, told the public- its just a cold.
He was receiving briefings telling him the dangers- he is more worried about his reelection that he is about the 190,000+ deaths.

Trump was listening to his advisors.

Sweden has less deaths per capital than USA.
Their economy shrank about half what USA shrank, mostly losing only tourism.
Sweden’s new cases/deaths are now low.

Trump listened to the experts Fauxi and Brix and told the country to shut down. Governors, not presidents, have the authority to enforce social distancing.

What Trump could have done differently that would put the country in a better outcome is what Sweden did: just about nothing and let it run its course!
