Canada’s rate of cv death/population is 41.5% to that of the USA's
So Canada has a little under half the cv deaths to population that the USA did….[still don’t understand your 588x]
The USA has/had a lot of international flights, my guess a lot more than Canada, so the USA probably had a lot more cv ‘spreaders’ enter the country than Canada did, and therefore higher number of infections/deaths
Did Canada keep sick covid people out of nursing homes? If they did good for them, NY, NJ and Washington all screwed up and the # of deaths would have been a lot lower had our seniors been protected
