Allow users to see their followers

Allow mods to see stream followers

Allow banning a user from a stream

In addition to NSFW warnings, I would also let people put trigger warnings on their images

I would let people make custom icons (choosing the color of the icon, choosing the symbol, etc.)

I would allow users to DM or PM (direct message or private message) each other

I would allow users to "friend" each other

I would allow users to post things other than memes in streams besides the default streams (polls, statements, rating, etc.)

I would allow users to put a bio in their profile in addition to the tagline

I would make themes other than Dark/Light mode. For example, Tumblr has a theme in between orange and light brown, a neon green and black theme, a yellow theme, etc.

I would also add an imgflip emoji keyboard, with icons like meme man, upvote and downvote buttons, doge, etc

I would delete the accounts of all users not active for more than a year or two, so more people have the chance to be on the leaderboard. I would also make the politics stream less biased, because the mods will allow Conservative memes from different websites but not liberal memes from different websites.

Active users do have an advantage because earnings points becomes easier as the site grows. More users = more upvotes and more streams.

I think most people that use the Imgflip Generators don't have an account, and most of those images are never seen by the Community.

Over the past 6 months, an average of about 1750 new user accounts are made per day.

That explains all those random images I find...

I'd refer to sites like similarweb.com or alexa.com for public estimates of website traffic. They are certainly not perfect and I think they charge you for older data, but decent enough for rough estimates. On the order of 10 million people visit Imgflip each month, although it's a smaller percentage that participates in the community.

He is a site administrater, so he gets to mod all main streams.

What makes you think that? Imgflip has been steadily growing by most metrics ever since it's inception. The community has started growing faster in the most recent year or two.

I kinda agree with deleting accounts of users who haven’t been active for more than a year or so...like, get out the way so smaller users can be noticed, and so users who are online more often can get noticed!

If they're not active then they're not gaining as many points (actually upvotes on memes over a few months old don't give you points) so eventually some one will overtake them.

Mmm that seems a bit harsh.

People could always return to ImgFlip and if their hard work is lost, they’ll be discouraged and if they have to get a new account then no one who was around back then will know who they are.

Maybe they could keep their accounts but disappear from the main leaderboard until they post again.

Or maybe there could be a several leaderboards — halls of fame for each and every calendar year for instance.

good idea. It feels like a lot of the top users aren't active, and it just makes it hard for active users to get to the top. I like your idea of yearly leaderboards, and there could be an all time top users leaderboard.

Well if they're not posting then you have more of a chance to pass them then if they were. But yea I think inactive users should have an honorary hall of fame or something rather than holding the spot on the leaderboard.
