The thing is that anyone with common sense knew that this would make the Dem Party look very bad in the long run with THEIR constituents setting parts of cities on fire with the blatant blessings of Dem Party governors and mayors. The irony is that the Dem Party leadership evidently DID NOT realize that absolutely common sense result.
