It’s funny because I’ve always considered myself a centrist. I gave the same site to my uncle, who identifies as a Republican-Libertarian, and he was further left than I was.

I think the lack of a ‘neutral’ response skews the results, but like Drumpf says: “It is what it is.”

The adage is that you get more conservative as you get older. I have definitely gotten more liberal and joining a union may have helped with that.

My father used to tell me “the delicate flower of idealism is often times burnt to a crisp by the harsh sunlight of reality.” It should be noted he identifies as a Goldwater Republican and, as a Vietnam vet vowed to never vote for a Democrat as long as he lived.

He almost didn’t vote for Trump in 2016. He has vowed to NOT vote for Trump in 2020. He is 100% Biden this time around and the most recent slight against vets by Trump has all but cemented it.

I was shocked it was as far left as it was, but I think the religion section is what skewed it. That being said, I identify closest to Gandhi. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
