Reverse upvote begging?

Basically, any meme that references upvotes is more or less begging.

I’m a huge anti-beggar, and I would actually argue that yes, there are some memes that mention upvotes that aren’t necessarily begging. Take for example, this meme here.

There was also a meme on the front page once where the premise was “I got 3 upvotes and 139 views. But what’s important is I probably made 139 people laugh.” I loved that meme.

To summarize, all begging memes mention upvotes, but not all memes that mention upvotes are begging.

Sorry this is a lot.

Fair enough. I just think meming about memes is an irritating cycle that can't be broken soon enough. It's like how Eminem's last few albums all begin with him talking about how people responded to his previous one.

Also, what I don't get is that people seem to think that 1 view = 1 person saw this. Doesn't the view count include double-ups from the creator or someone coming back from a comment reply notification?

Well, yeah. That was a campaign before. There was a time at the beginning of the year where people would say stuff like “bashing upvote beggars is the new upvote begging.”

That text box has been used quite a bit now. Some people are using it to say 'Try to change my mind' or 'You can't change my mind'
