Actually, this is one of the reasons I think some police funding should be redirected towards mandatory therapy for all cops. It's a traumatic job, and most of them probably have PTSD.
They should have mandatory training in various areas 20% of the time. How to de-escalate, working with a partner, how to avoid shootings, how to have empathy, etc.
