The Bernie people are as responsible for these riots as blm and Antifa. Originally, they planned to riot at the DNC. Then, decided to take advantage of the uproar over the police which happened in May.
On Twitter, they were rejoicing about burning down the post office in Minnesota saying, "We did it!"
I read the tweets of some of them saying how they would love to burn down the White House...and when someone informed them that fire had been set to the White House before, they were SO excited to learn that. They've really been indoctrinated to hate the nation.
You're right. They are demanding fundamental change and by any means necessary. They've fallen for this romanticized notion of the communist utopia that they've been promised. Lie, cheat, destruction, intimidation - they aren't above any of it. It's very sad.
