u can carry a knife. reaching for a knife while resisting arrest is different. very careful with ur wording huh.

I read he was carrying it. I guess it’s possible the facts haven’t been 100% nailed down yet and different media outlets are running with slightly different versions of events.

But if you look at the video, shooting him 7x in the back at point-blank range doesn’t strike me as the right thing to do.

Shooting should only be done in the most threatening cases of self-defense and when someone’s back is turned to you, their ability to hurt you is pretty minimal.

i agree seven times was over the top. the cop is in some level of wrong.

but the guy is not some innocent guy who got shot cuz he was black. but, if u were a cop. risking ur life on ur job. and someone reached into there car(or he reached i think it was into the car), in the moment, what would u do?

I would not shoot a guy in the back.

yes, absolutely excessive shooting. but u can see him reach in the car.

He was trying to get in his car to drive his kids home, since the police were on the scene to see to the fight he had tried to break up. He was not reaching for anything.

His kids weren't in the car, so if he was, he would be driving away by himself for 1. 2 he was resisting arrest, and had a knife.
