I don't think it was legal for this kid. I think he's being charged with a misdemeanor as a result. Not all states have the same laws with respect to this. He may not have known it was different in Wisconsin. I don't honestly know.

I don't think he'll need a pardon. Based on the videos surfacing everywhere, he was running in everyone just prior to shooting. The first guy through what appeared to be a molotov cocktail at him before continuing to pursue him into an area where he was then shot. The other two were in the process of attacking him, one with a gun in his hand and the other with a skateboard that actually landed a blow on the boys head. The guy who got shot in the arm was a felon in possession of a firearm at the time...he's going back to prison, and the other guy, assault by skateboard I think?...well ya just don't bring a skateboard to a gun fight.
