FACT CHECK: slaves did that because there masters force them to fight for them. remember slavery wasn't abolished until the end of the war.

Not every slave had a back full of lashings. Some had more comfortable lives. They kinda liked how things were for them.
Kind of like how good todays slaves got it. They get their house/food/kids paid for and all they have to do is keep voting Democrats in every year. If/when the next civil war really starts to pick up, they will fight tooth and nail to keep their government handouts.

Not really. The Confederates (who were Democrat, btw) wouldn't be able to fight a war AND keep an eye on the slaves 24/7. No, they were promised freedom, which the Confederates never intended to give them, as England and France needed American cotton. Promising black people things with no intention of delivering?
