Which part of the speech specifically are you claim was plagiarized? I remember a passage similar to this but not verbatim.

The optimistic message that hope trumps fear (and the variations contained therein) is pretty universal, dates back decades at least. I bet you could dig up other examples. JFK and heck even Obama very likely contain similar statements in their public speech canon.

If one politician said hope trumps fear, claiming it precludes all later politicians from utilizing that same theme is asinine.

It is only relatively recently that we elected a President who believes the exact opposite.

Guess who that is?

Kamikaze, if you want to know which part of his speech, look it up at youtube. In the time it took you to write that comment you could have found it if you honestly wanted to find it. Your problem is you pretend to be oblivious because it justifies your needy desire to be the center of attention. Sorry, I just don't have the time or inclination to feed your need.

I wanted to know what your claim was specifically.

Anywho, here is the passage I assume you are referencing.

It’s not verbatim and it’s not plagiarized.

Thanks

To be fair, he was just pandering for upvotes in the alt-right echo chamber. Something trivial like facts are useless to to his cause.

“Sorry, I just don't have the time or inclination to feed your need.”

Translation: I got what I needed from the cattle here so nanny-nanny-boo-boo.

Franken30, first of all, I am a woman, so please don't refer to me as "he". Secondly, I don't feel a need to pander to anyone. I come to IMGFLIP for relaxation and a little bit of fun. If I get desperate for an ego stroke or hearing praise in an echo chamber, I'll start submitting memes for the PoliticsToo stream. Kamikaze is well known at IMGFLIP, so I am acquainted with his or her pattern of behavior. But since it is possible I am mistaken in the assumption Kamikaze is an adult fully capable of finding the info he or she wants, here's the link to video of the speech.

Now, I watched Biden's speech -in its entirety- the night it went out live. I watched it again the following morning. And I did this because I like keeping up with American politics. I regularly watch debates, speeches, ect., no matter who the candidates are and regardless of their political allegiances. This is something I've done for many years (for professional reasons and also because I simply find politics interesting). Knowledge of what's going on in the world is key to making informed choices in life. So I found a segment of Mr. Biden's speech similar (one might say disturbingly similar) to the words of the late Jack Layton. And this inspired me to make a meme. A meme intended to highlight (in a humorous fashion) that Biden has a history of revamping the words of others for his own benefit. FYI, Biden dropped out of the1988 Presidential race after admitting to plagiarism and lying about the academic achievements of his youth. This is a fact on public record, one which even the partisan Snopes acknowledges.

I won't apologize for remembering Biden's previous plagiarism. I won't apologize for poking fun at what clearly appears to be another case of plagiarism. Should I feel bad I didn't respond sooner to Kamikaze? Since posting that meme I've had two deadlines to meet, had to make a trip to the doctor's office and otherwise been nursing a fever and an ear ache. Oh well for Kamikaze, I've had more pressing concerns outside of IMGFLIP. Should I feel bad that when I did see the comment I didn't answer in the way they hoped? As noted earlier, I am acquainted with Kamikaze's modus operandi, and I don't feel obligated to feed their particular brand of trollism. Kamikaze can either deal with this like an adult or obsess over it like a spoiled child. It's up to them.

Have a good day.

Well, sir or madam, as the case may be, I, too, come here for a little unwinding and also to tweak some nips. It would seem I achieved both on this one.

I don’t really care what your take is, but to claim plagiarism is absurd, as has already been demonstrated. The rest was TL;DR.

Good day, to you, too, madam.

Or- he wants proof of something you posted. Why would it be on him to provide proof for something you claimed? (Also he did look it up and proved you’re wrong. Why didn’t you reply?)

Precisely: I can search up anything readily in Google (and I did), but only the OP can answer my question about what they specifically are claiming was plagiarized.
