Newt is not the "perfect man".... No... He's a good man... A man I'd love to have as a friend, and a man I know can rely on, who'd stand up for me when I need him, and who won't play any nasty tricks on me (and with the latter showing himself a true Hufflepuff). But perfect... No, he too has his faults.
