Democrats are the problem

Yep...Their base is so gullible though. Democrats shut down their cities/states and force everyone to wear masks, and then blame Trump for high unemployment in their cities/states. And those places with the strictest mandates is where the highest number of infections and deaths are.

Interestingly enough, the republican led cities/states where there were no shutdowns or mask mandates are the areas of the country where infections and deaths are lowest.

Meanwhile, Texas, Florida, and Massachusetts; who have Republican governors, are among the top ten states with the highest death. And Texas, Florida, Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, and Louisiana are among the top ten in the highest known confirmed cases. So, maybe politics don't really have anything to do with it. Or, at least, it shouldn't.

First off, that's not the death rate. That's the death count. A rate would be a percentage.

Secondly, it's due to population density, not the population's political affiliation or leadership.

Massachusetts is hardly a "republican" state, but even so I didn't say republican states. I stated "republican led cities/states where there were no shutdowns or mask mandates". I guess I could have left off the republican led part because all democrat led areas had shutdowns and mask mandates. You are right that it shouldn't be political, but it becomes political only because the left insist on blaming Trump for the very things they did to their own cities/states.

You’re splitting hairs. Literally. You said “cities/states” and like it or not, the fact remains that Massachusetts has a Republican governor. Most mayors are non-politically affiliated. The only reason we’re assigning political parties to these mayors is because some are former party members. It’s just not always the case.

If anyone is blaming Trump for anything it’s his lack of leadership in this situation. His favoritism to Republican governors or states that voted for him. And his inconsistent message about the seriousness of this pandemic. While he took efforts early on to prevent it, that ultimately failed, instead of taking things further he chose to prioritize the economy, take a wait and see approach, and allowed states to decide for themselves instead of calling martial law and shutting down any state with a high fatality rate and institute a quarantine. Instead, he used this as a political opportunity to continue to divide the country, making statements that undermined his trusted medical doctors instead of actually leading us through this crisis.
