The comments BLM made about family were talking about poc, they were drawing attention to the issue of single Mothers raising vulnerable kids without support. They stated that they wanted to change the prescribed Patriarchal notion of the nuclear family and replace it with a support network. They made it clear that this would only be with the consent of the people involved.
