"It would expect anything but?"

I recognize this as English but it has no apparent meaning. Was 'it' supposed to be 'I'?

Thanks for catching that!

You would expect anything but
(RunawayTrain upvoting TrainWreck)?

Yw.

It depends on whether or not you are imagining the Runaway train as having autonomy, if it's on tracks and it's movements have to be carefully controlled because of the rigidly controlled system it exists in, then one has to imagine that if it's out of control, whether intentionally or not, it will only lead to chaos.
If it is indeed autonomous, then it stands to reason that whether or not it is conscious of it, chaos in some form is it's intent.
So maybe not a literal trainwreck, but a figurative one?
A subconscious longing for freedom from the constraints of an oppressive, doctrinaire ideology?

I just found a killer article. Check this out. https://aapsonline.org/a-tale-of-two-drugs-money-vs-medical-wisdom/

That’s a miracle article, not a killer article-pun intended. A couple good links in the article also, especially the one to multinational compilation of hydroxychloroquine use

SARS, MERS, and COVID-19 all three are coronaviruses. All three attach through ACE-2 receptor.

In 2005, chloroquine was tested against SARS, and found to be effective.

Here is the study:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1232869/

From this 2005 study of chloroquine on the SARS virus:
Conclusion

“Chloroquine, a relatively safe, effective and cheap drug used for treating many human diseases including malaria, amoebiosis and human immunodeficiency virus is effective in inhibiting the infection and spread of SARS CoV in cell culture. The fact that the drug has significant inhibitory antiviral effect when the susceptible cells were treated either prior to or after infection suggests a possible prophylactic and therapeutic use.“

Studies from right this very year trying to solve this very problem found more people dying than surviving when you try to treat them with this.

It's not a cure for COVID-19.

Maybe it makes you feel better while you're recovering if you're going to survive it anyway, but that's not what we're looking for - we're looking for something that stops people from dying, and this does the exact opposite of that. You are wrong. And Trump was wrong. As indeed he very frequently is.

Those studies are flawed. One was even retracted quite quickly after the flaws were pointed out. Chloroquine works when administered early. There have been studies that do indicate chloroquine can reduce the death rate of COVID-19. There are people who will swear they are alive because of it.

When used for malaria, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus there are no safety issues. The only true safety issue with chloroquine is with people who have arrhythmias can have one triggered. When prescribed off label for Rheumatoid arthritis or lupus, patients are not even monitored for arrhythmias.

What is the point of making this issue of a drug that could possibly save lives political by dragging Trump’s name into it every time it comes up

Trump is getting his advice from Fauci. Fauci has been wrong many times. And he’s changed his stance on things many times.
Fauci promoted that the virus did not have human to human transmission. He said that it was nothing Americans need to be worried about. He said Americans don’t need to wear masks. So yes, Fauci has been wrong.

I stopped reading after the second sentence.

IF YOU HAVE TO ADMINISTER IT EARLY, IT'S NOT A CURE FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ABOUT TO DIE FROM IT, IS IT? END OF STORY. DOESN'T WORK.

I think every patient should have the option, it should be discussed between doctor and patient. It should be the patient’s choice. Why should some bureaucrat play God over somebody’s life?

It works when administered early. If someone’s leg gets chopped off and a tourniquet gets put on early, they don’t bleed out to the point where it’s too late to save them. Try and understand that analogy because that’s what’s going on with hydroxychloroquine.

During the Civil War many soldiers had arms and legs amputated. This was done to prevent gangrene from killing the soldier. They were no double blind, placebo controlled studies on this treatment. The medics/doctors learned the injured limb needed to be amputated before the gangrene infection set in and put the persons life in danger.

I suppose doctors could wait for people to have stage four terminal cancer before they do radiation and chemo therapy on them

Do I really need to explain to you that we don't have a cure for cancer? Do I need to explain to you that cancers that kill within two weeks (pancreatic and so on) can't be treated in these ways you're describing?

And have the treatments you're describing been shown to kill more people than they help? No. No they haven't.

THERE'S NO ROOM TO AGREE TO DISAGREE IN MEDICINE! WE'RE NOT ARGUING ABOUT WHAT THE INTEREST RATE SHOULD BE, WE'RE ARGUING OVER WHETHER A DRUG SAVES LIVES.
