Too many can’t resist the torrent of disinformation. But we can’t put the genie back in the bottle. We must try to educate.

Social media is a humanity-enhancer. That is, it can bring out the best in us or the worst in us. It can transmit life-saving news and data rapidly, or it can speed the flow of information and ideas that transmit hate and can actually kill.

Social media does not really change our essential character as human beings whatsoever.

So, it depends.
