I'm not sure where you're coming from on this issue, but if your intent is to expose politicians (particularly liberals) for the hypocrites that they are when it comes to gun ownership / use, I think pointing out that they want to take our guns away from us, while they have security that carries guns, would be as good of a place as any to start. Or as I also like to think of it, they are unable to protect us (not law enforcement's fault, but the politicians) but they want to take away our firearms, and our ability to protect ourselves.
Quite honestly, I don't think you'll get a lot of traction on 2A rights (assuming that's what you want?) by pointing out that an average citizen, perhaps you or me, wouldn't be allowed to walk up to the president of the United States while carrying. I just get the feeling that most people would find that allowing something like that is probably not a good idea, AND that 2A rights can be ensured without giving people that specific capability.
