If been on this site for at least 6 years under various names and when I first came here the conservative politics memes jabbed fun at Obama and the liberals jabbed at Boehner and co....but nothing like the absolute insane, vile, awful, downright false bullshit you see in there now. But it’s been going that way since specifically when Trump started edging out the GOP crowd in the primaries for the 2016 election.
Also there were no streams so what few political memes turned up were very often downvoted (with both upvotes and downvotes shown) into oblivion. The political posts (mostly conservative) became so abundant they had to make a politics stream to quarantine them. Since then it’s become a echo chamber of insanity. Nothing remotely “liberal” stands a chance of surviving and even if you try to have a good natured debate it devolves into complete shit immediately with a gang mentality from the MAGAts.
