Toby, I'm only posting this image because I don't want those damn snowflakes to start whining about the 2016 popular vote again, and start pissing about the electoral college.
The popular vote was much closer than your meme shows. In fact, if the votes from just the margin of difference in California were removed from the national total, Trump would have won the popular vote. Let me reiterate, I'm not talking about removing all her California votes from her national total, but just the votes that were the difference between Trump's votes and her votes in California. The national total was that close.
For all the basement dwelling snowflakes out there, let me explain why NOT having one state determine a national election is important. The founders were not idiots; in fact, they were much smarter than you (and of course, me as well) and knew damn well that if the presidency were determined by the national popular vote, just one large state could allow one party to dominate the presidency for years and even decades. Nobody with any sense of equity, let alone concern for seeing a fledgling country flourish, would want that.
I know you snowflakes want that now, but there's an old saying about the shoe being on the other foot. If the republicans had California and New York locked down, I guarantee we would not hear one snowflake complaint about the electoral college being unfair.
