I don't think this happened, but I'm not saying it didn't. I believe there is a pretty good chance we are living in a simulation, though, so yeah. There are some absolutely brilliant physicists that adhere to the Simulation Hypothesis, so it's not like I believe it because I'm insane. Same reason I believe that what you said is technically possibly true, although I highly doubt it is. Why, because it's so specific. If you had said that scientists at CERN tore a hole in reality, and didn't specify when, the chances of your statement being factual would skyrocket by about 100,000%. Anyhow, no one that is alive knows what is going on. It's all a mystery. And when you die, you either vanish into nothingness, and therefore do not get to find out what is up, or you move onto some other stage in existence and you learn more about said existence. If you do vanish into nothingness, you don't experience any fear or disappointment in that you didn't get to find out what is next, so it's not a big deal. If you move on to another stage in existence, you will either be satisfied or dissatisfied with what you learn. Because of this, it might be better if you just vanish into nothingness. However, it might be better if you don't vanish into nothingness...
