That’s because early on lots of us doubted the severity of the virus. There just wasn’t enough information. And then people started dying and my wife nearly died from it. So yeah, both science and opinions evolve over time.

well, we're now experiencing a second wave, so caution would've been appreciated in the first place, especially when the country is dealing with a virus which originated from one of the western world's biggest adversaries that didn't exist prior. (not saying the chinese government created the virus intentionally, but i think that china should be held accountable for what it has done)

She’s okay but there are some lasting effects. It was scary for awhile.

I agree that we should have taken it seriously earlier, but again to most of us just the idea of a real pandemic is beyond our comprehension. We just couldn’t believe that the most advanced nation in the world could be brought to its knees by a virus.

Having seen it firsthand (I didn’t get sick nor did our girls, btw) I’m a believer.

I still believe that it was engineered. Wife does clinical research and she studied the virus. She said it has characteristics that suggest engineering.

i'm not sure myself if it was engineered or not, but i wouldn't put it past china to do something like this.

That seems to be the general consensus. Maybe it was originally intended to deal with protesters and got out of hand. The Chinese government certainly wouldn’t have a problem with doing that.

Nah, you’re a clear victim of propaganda. You should instead blame Trump and the federal government for deliberately spreading misinformation about the virus, and completely ignoring experts from the CDC.

I blame China for downplaying it and refusing to share information.

Those two things are not mutually exclusive.
