Chief Manley said the driver of the car and SEVERAL WITNESSES told police that 28-year-old Garrett Foster, who was carrying an AK-47-style rifle, approached the driver’s window of the vehicle and pointed the gun at the driver.

“Mr. Foster, who was holding an AK-47 type assault rifle, approached the driver side window, as other people in the crowd started to strike the vehicle,” Chief Manley said “Gunshots were fired from inside the vehicle at Mr. Foster.”

Also, according to eyewitnesses...he pointed a loaded "assault rifle" at someone in their car. If someone isn't allowed to respond to that, just what the hell constitutes a reason? There's no law that says you have to be shot in order to fire back. A point blank shot from an AK would likely kill you no matter where it hit.

Believe the testimony of biased mob rioters all ya want. It doesn't mean shit in the absence of corroborated testimony from disinterested bystanders. The video gives the police all they need to let the guy go. It is unlawful to obstruct cars on a public roadway, and it is unlawful to brandish weapons when not being threatened. He did both, one of which is a felony, that he no longer has to worry about defending himself in court over....cause that commie bastard is f**king dead as shit.

He wasn't "wearing" it. He pointed it into the car. That's carrying it to a whole different level. I've spent a lot of time in Texas, and they still don't have the right to stop traffic. There's a difference in standing in the road vs crossing it on your way to the other side.

If you feel your life is in danger you can shoot to kill in most red states. If the man with the ak-47 had it slung over his shoulder pointing up or down, that's one thing. If he approached the car with the barrel facing the driver, it's a justified kill.

The video shows the car STOPPED, surrounded by rioters who were beating on it, when this douchebag decided to approach it with his gun drawn. Then you hear five shots, the car driving off and someone in the crowd firing 3 more shots at the car while it was fleeing. No one was "run over". No one was hit.

Suppose all that you say was right, though I doubt it is, and the man in the car hears pounding and thinks someone is shooting at him or a load smash of his window. Reasonable fear, defend yourself. You don’t have to let a mob drag you out and beat you to death. They had guns and fired at him as he drove away is proof enough they were armed and willling to use them.

I can agree on that, because I see someone who was scared, saw people with guns saw an opening and tried to accelerate through it to get out of there. Looks like he was stopped by people stepping in front of his car. There was no other reason to stop than that people intentionally blocked him. If he was in a murderous rage why stop and not just speed bump them.
