Thanks for going to the effort of posting the link. I am impressed.
I read the article, and given CBS' intense anti-Trump agenda, I would ask you to objectively consider the source.
As for the journalistic integrity of the article, are kidding me?
When a formerly reputable news organization like CBS simply reports about a report (meaning a NYT article) instead of doing any actual journalism on their own, don't you have the intellectual horsepower to ask yourself, what the fcuk?
I'll pull some quotes from your article (yes, apples, it's yours now!) for you to review, and I'll put the words in CAPS that allow them to present opinions and unsubstantiated facts as actual facts. You just might learn something apples.
Right off the bat, the headline: "Donald Trump asked ambassador, Jets owner Woody Johnson, to steer British Open to his resort, PER REPORT" I wish I could find my brilliant prior post here on the flip where I list the words used by the #FakeMedia that allows them to just make up bullshit for the gullible any time they want. Per report was at the top of that list, along with "reportedly." "According to" is a blank check for lies, and hearsay at best. And I shouldn't even have to explain "allegedly" to you.
The sub-headline: "The President REPORTEDLY used his influence to attempt to host The Open at Turnberry in Scotland"
The very first sentence: "President Donald Trump ALLEGEDLY pressured Woody Johnson..." (and seriously, any report based on a NYT article should receive extra scrutiny, given their recent exposure as lying about the Russian collusion hoax, right apples?)
"Johnson's deputy, Lewis A. Lukens, advised against bringing the request to the British government because of a potential ethical violation that would come with the President using his position for private gain, ACCORDING TO THE TIMES."
The article goes on to state some more unsubstantiated facts to support their clearly biased reporting.
It also points out that the Trump-owned course has hosted the British Open three times. So why would Trump need to do what this article claims?
That's it in a nutshell apples. Always ask yourself two questions when it comes to #FakeNews. 1) does the source have a history of anti-Trump reporting? 2) does what they're reporting make any dayum sense on its face? (and try to be objective there, okay?)
