Christianity ebbs and flows in terms of popularity, if that's the right word to use. But even at its low points, it's pretty rock solid in terms of being ingrained in not just US culture and society, but a large chunk of the world's as well. I don't think it's going anywhere, even after a few more centuries it should still be viable.

I could not agree less. I strongly disagree that it's doing a fine job of canceling itself, as your first post states. It's just ebbing at the moment, imo.

That may be true (although the data suggest it's been holding steady since the 70s, with a decline in nominal church membership but a fairly even rate of church attendance), but it's growing rapidly in places like Africa. In any case, we've seen extreme leftism try to get rid of Christianity before (the most prominent examples being the French and Russian Revolutions). It was never successful for very long and always involved a lot of death and mayhem in the process.

Well, you'll probably have to speak out against the people that are willing to use violence to make that happen at some point in your life then.
