No it isn’t, but that doesn’t change that the country is and was great. Historic slavery doesn’t diminish the ancient Egyptians, Ancient Romans, Ancient Greeks, Mesoamerican civilizations , Islam or any other historic society. It is an abhorrent condition that existed within those societies along with a lot of other ones up to and including human sacrifice.
America paid the price of slavery in blood, more blood spilled In the civil war than all other wars combined. This was largely white blood. So yes even with its ugly scars America is still great.
