There are a myriad of ways to contract the virus. The mask is only so effective... Unless you are wearing a full-body condom, complete with breathing apparatus, you are at some risk of contracting it. Doesn't mean you will die.
So how do you think people who wear masks get it? I mean if it’s foolproof protection and you follow them explain how the thousands of people who wear masks get it?
