A lot of people call it "cliche", "unoriginal", and "hopping on the action movie bandwagon", completely forgetting that it's a kid's movie and therefore perhaps one of the first action movie a child ever saw. a kid isn't going to know about cliche themes, they're just going to see "oh cool that bad car just exploded" and be satisfied.
