If Kanye West does run, he will divide the black vote. Think about it. Black leftists will be forced to choose between Joe Biden, the creepy old racist white guy, and Kanye West, the "based" younger black celebrity. The pro-Biden liberals will be considered racist, so even the white leftists might vote Kanye to look "woke". By dividing the liberal vote, Donald Trump could win in a landslide. It looks like Trump and Kanye are working together on this one.

In reality most dems won't vote for Biden no matter what. They just can't bring themselves to do it. They won't vote for Trump, but they might vote for Kanye.
For the record, Trump was going to win in a landslide before Kanye put his hat in the ring.

I am not suggesting that any dems will vote Trump. But they may vote for Kanye to avoid looking racist. Perhaps Trump is using Kanye as an emergency plan.
