As MiniAppleIs pointed out, most of the BLM protestors wore masks and they were also outside. I saw some photos where they maintained social distance as well, some where they didn't.
I'm sure that some protestors caught Covid; in fact, I'm friends with one who did. But not as many as you might think. Research is showing that risk of transmission outdoors and when wearing masks is pretty low.
We are seeing the biggest flare-ups right now in conservative states that opened indoor businesses too early: Texas, Florida, Arizona, etc.
So hitting the beach and then grabbing a meal and a drink on an outdoor and properly socially-distanced patio is one of the better activities available.
