Liberalism is never about the issues. It is is about me.

My general rule of thumb is that whenever a liberal is in favour of any given policy, I ask them if they're the ones willing to be on the hook for it.
Want more immigrants = give up your spare room
Want more services = pay for them yourself.
etc etc

The consistent response is that no, we all have to pay for them (albeit I frequently appear to hit a higher tax rate, so its actually me paying the majority by comparison in alot of these cases..)
OR
Someone has to pay but the people who will have to pay JUST SO HAPPEN to be at a higher income rate than whatever they happen to be at that moment

All very convenient.

Liberals love spending other people's money.

If they really care about immigrants (even the illegal kinds) they wouldn't be supporting illegals immigration.

Work visas are based on job demand. If agricultural industry cannot hire illegals at dirt cheap price, they will have to actually go hire workers legally from below the southern borders. This means they have to sponsor work visas and pay them at least a min wage with healthcare. (Isn't this what liberals want for them?)

So by supporting illegal immigration is to support a slave working class. It is the most racist thing one can do and Democrats have done it twice now in US history.

Liberals' response?

That would skyrocket our vegan meals. Actually it wouldn't, but we can't really talk economics with people who can't balance check books, so I just groan when they reply with just this because it pretty much proved my point - It is not about the issue, it is about me me me me me!
