First thing's first: This isn't "lock her up" or even close. She's been ordered to appear for a deposition in an ongoing civil lawsuit against the State Department by conservative group Judicial Watch.
It would be more rational to just ignore this, given all the other issues in the world today, but since conservatives here are either already going nuts or are going to go nuts about it, here's the scoop:
"Early last week, CNBC reported that a judge has ordered Hillary Clinton must testify at a deposition for a lawsuit related to her use of a private email server for official business while working as secretary of State under President Obama between 2009 and 2013. ‘It is time to hear directly from Secretary Clinton,’ Judge Royce Lamberth declared in his order issued in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., where the Conservative group Judicial Watch are suing the State Department over its handling of searches for the now-notorious emails.
"‘As extensive as the existing record is, it does not sufficiently explain Secretary Clinton’s state of mind when she decided it would be an acceptable practice to set up and use a private server to conduct State Department business’ the judge added. The problem with her using a private server was tied into the supposed secrecy involved with it, as well as the concern about sending classified information. In July 2016, while Clinton was running for president, then-FBI Director James Comey announced that he was not recommending that any criminal charges be filed against Clinton, though he called her actions ‘careless.’
"In late October 2016, shortly before the presidential election, Comey revealed to Congress that the FBI was reviewing emails from the server that had been newly discovered. No charges have ever been filed against Clinton. She is set to appear in court on 9 September 2020."
