You've apparently fallen into the trap that the DNC has set for the ill informed, meaning saying one thing and meaning another when it comes to firearms.

Assault weapons, by definition (since they're fully automatic) are already banned in almost all cases. But they want you to believe any "gun" is an 'assault weapon of war', so they can get your support when they try to ban all guns, despite the 2nd Amendment. Good luck with that.
