The White House has not denied that the story is accurate. First, Trump denied that he was told anything. Then they have said that he was told but it was something that didn't have enough "actionable intellegence."
So, they are not denying that 1) the US intelligence service is claiming the Russians were offering bounties on US troops, 2) that this information was provided to Trump on different occasions and 3) that he did nothing.
So, we've got a shifting explanation. Frist he wasn't told at all. Then it was in the written briefing one time but no one read that part out loud to him. Then, yes, Bolton may have told him outloud but there wasn't enough evidence. And now Obrien may have told him in a briefing but there still wasn't enough evidence.
Once again Trump is taking the Russians side over US Intel. And MAGA country is all "Oh, yeah, that's fine. Russia wouldn't lie about that. The CIA is filled with stupid-dumb heads anyway."
Yeah.
