When bees sting, they inject a small amount of venom into your skin. Some are worse than others. Honey bees can only sting once and many die shortly after because their stinger actually tears away and is left stuck in your skin where it continues to pump venom into you. Yellow jackets are particularly bad because they can sting multiple times and can also bite, which also sucks. Hornets are usually the most potent stingers though, stay away.

I dunno, I've only been stung once in like kindergarten, I just remember walking by a bee hive on a dare, and after recess I noticed my shoulder hurt so I looked down and sure enough I had a sting.
But my mom got me ice cream after school, so that's a plus
