The reason for this is because if the movie is exactly like the book, then the events in the movie would be obvious and would not be interesting. therefore, they change things up so people could not guess so the movie would be more exciting

Maybe if they could do it right...

They also can’t put everything from the books into the movie like Game of Thrones. Too much material.
