To clear up any confusion, this is not a pro-Confederacy meme. In a speech called The Cornerstone Speech, the Vice President of the Confederacy, Alexander Stephens, stated the foundation and purpose of the Confederacy was white supremacy and the continued enslavement of Africans. I've never heard Confederate apologists refer to any of the CSA's founding documents or leaders when they try to justify the south's secession.
