Donald Trump

I think repubs and dems are both stupid for choosing a side and not making informed decisions on issues, but every time I see the left try to twist the argument of the right and turn it against them, especially in reference to Trump, it makes me cringe. Trump was a registered dem until he decided to run for pres.

I may be mistaken, but I thought he was dem before he decided to run. I do also remember an interview with him saying if he ran for president it would be as a republican. The point is, all the decisiveness around him is humorous. The fact is, the two party system is problematic.

He was a Democrat from 2001-2009 then was no party until 2012 when he switched back to Republican (which he had been a couple times before). But....

In a 2004 interview, Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat," explaining: "It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn't be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats...But certainly we had some very good economies under Democrats, as well as Republicans. But we've had some pretty bad disaster under the Republicans."
