Puppylover04, The title of your image, yeah, I used to think so too. Where I thought that everything that happened in my life was staged. That meant if people in my family didnt love me or friends. However the result of telling my parents about it was hilarious!!!

However, my fear is either someone hurting me very emotionally, even though it happens way too much or paranormal activity.

Oh. Thankfully im over it, cuz no-one could really make up the things that happen lol. Noone could've thought of certain things that happen!
Im sorry about your fear, and I hope it gets better...

Well... After I accidentally saw the trailer for Eight Legged Freaks on TV (if you have arachnophobia don't google that!) I believed they were real for about three years and had to check everywhere when entering a room, especially in the bathroom. I still don't know how I overcame that one...

omg I will never search it again

Watched some of the clips from that, was laughing the entire time. Good recommendation :)

😅 Well, when I saw that trailer I was 10 and all I saw was giant spiders eating people. Funny follow up: I only remembered the "German" title Arrack Attack and I never actually looked up the movie. When I was 16 or 17 on my school exchange in America I watched Eight Legged Freaks with a friend and I only noticed it was that movie that freaked me out as a kid midway through watching. And actually, I thought it was hilarious and I kept thinking, if I had actually seen those funny bits as a kid I might not have been so scared. 🙈

That bees would kill me...got stung as a kid, developed a phobia of bees. Got stung as an adult, realized it hurts but it's not that bad, no longer afraid of bees. Funny how the mind works. I still dont like bees that much, but the actual phobia is gone now.

I have been terrified of bees my whole life. Havent been stung in over 10 years, and I know they are mostly docile, but I still have this irrational fear.

My first sting was a honey bee, stepped on it in a patch of clover barefoot, I was probably 5 years old. Didn't get stung again till I was maybe 15 or 16 by a wasp, I was getting some stuff out of an old truck that had been sitting for years, nest had started in the door panel and they didnt like what I was after I guess. It hurt, but didnt last long and since then I haven't really been afraid of them anymore. I definitely have a respect for them, but not afraid.

During the in between time though I almost fell off a roof because a hornet was chasing me up there. Could have gotten killed, or stung...which is worse? Yeah I think I'll run off the roof as opposed to getting stung...That is the definition of an irrational fear!

I nearly fell off a roof while painting because a hornet was buzzing me...so dumb. They look evil.

Not sure if you've ever seen this, but it's worth watching:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ1eAM8CChc

This is from 2012, WAY before "Murder Hornets" was a popular topic in the USA. I've seen a number of other documentaries that show these giant wasps, but this is the O.G. and it has the best wasp vs honeybee action, hands down. It's quite incredible that such a small number of wasps can decimate a hive of ten thousand honeybees!

There's another documentary about them that shows the honeybees killing the wasps...the only way they can kill them is by swarming the hornets, covering them, and then the honeybees vibrate at a high frequency....this increases their body heat and they form a clump that essentially cooks the wasps to death. I hate these giant wasps/hornets. I like honeybees.

Yeah I've seen those videos before about the honeybees cooking the hornets, fascinating stuff. My dad keeps bees, he said those hornets have actually been around for years and none of the bee keepers he stays in touch with have any concern at all. Basically a bunch of media hype to go along with all the other media hype on the screen these days. Still, I'd rather not have anything to do with the little bastards.
1 up, 5y
Yes, I've heard the same thing. It amazes me how many people just believe what they hear in the media instead of Googling it for 30 seconds and finding out everything left out...which is basically the most important, factual information related to any given subject. Why aren't people more curious about the information the media does not speculate on? That's all they do is speculate.

Well thats good. When I was younger I was standing still thinking the bee on my shoulder would leave. It didnt, so I started to run thinking it wouldn't sting me since I didnt bother it. It chased me all over. SIX YEAR OLD ME THOUGHT A BEE WOULDNT FOLLOW ME INTO THE HOUSE!!!!!! But it did, then I got stung. Thats my bee story...

Well, I was convinced of this weird thing...not necessarily by myself, but by my uncles and then I guess i convinced myself as a consequence...every year for Christmas, my family would go to my aunt and uncle's house, and all my uncles convinced me and my younger brother that there were alligators in the basement of my aforementioned aunt and uncle's house. We were terrified to go down there, and even scared of the floor vents upstairs. They most likely told us this tale because they didn't want is down there when they were smoking cannabis, lol.
