Yes I believe this. Then again when I was younger I was paranoid that my whole life was just a play and everyone knew their lines just to guide me places. It was weird but made total sense at the time... It could be true though... But I do believe G-d has a plan for everyone, thats why when I pray, I ask for the ability to understand what He's doing and if what im asking for is right. For example I wanted to switch schools so I asked G-d that if its supposed to happen it should etc. And it might happen... So yay!

Why do you censor God's name as though it were a curse word? Dont take this very direct question as an attack, it is not. I am genuinely curious.

In Jewish custom the name of God is very sacred so much so that they believe it should never be written down on paper for fear of it being torn up or thrown away. Hence the hyphen. That's what I understand anyway but i could be wrong.

Yes. I love Shakespeare, so I may he predisposed to agree. But I believe that God, as the author and perfrcror of our faith also has a perfect plan for our life. One dude was jealous and tried to ruin it all. He succeeded. This is the best story ever, because there's hope and salvation. We have to decide what yo do, but we are playing the role God has created us to be in. At least that's what I believe. I could get into more, but I want to see others perspective first.

If we were all players, we would have scripts and lines. Because we do not, I believe we act (not in the theatrical sense) of our own free will as given to us by God.

Imagine if we all had scripts how many of us would probably tear it up and say I quit, lol

My husband and I were actually talking about this. What if we didn't have scripts we could only follow the lead of the director (God) who could see the whole picture and the end result. He would know which person was supposed to go where and the timing of every scene. Everyone would have a role to play and the least resistance by the actors toward his instructions would change the scene but God would somehow still make a beautiful production in the end because of the actors who did follow his commands. But we would only view it at the end of our lives or role.

Does that change the meaning of the phrase now? 😊

It's a very interesting analogy for sure!

Eh, I err more on the side of we all have free will and it’s up to us to do with it what we feel we need to do. Although if the year 2020 was a play, I would go see it just to watch the trainwreck.
