Interestingly enough, the problem with bad police officers isn’t a new one. It’s been a thing for many years and there have always been bad cops. Not saying that it’s right, just that since there have been cops there have been some bad cops. The OP is correct though, many of my left-leaning friends have said that only police and the military should have firearms, I have no business owning certain types of guns, and so on. Yet now that has changed due to recent incidents of police brutality.
So I wonder if the recent events were the last straw and these same folks will admit that bad people do bad things and maybe legal gun ownership isn’t such a bad thing.
