What did you think of the Ninjago movie?

I liked it. I do love the show a lot more but I still thought it wasn't too bad. They could have done better though.

The Lego Ninjago Movie cost $70 Million to make but it only made $123 Million at the box office, this movie caused unnecessary redesigns on the Ninjas and financial damage to the Lego Movie franchise. The Lego Ninjago Movie has little to no connection to the TV Series, and the Ninjas were out of character in the movie, but would a Live-Action Ninjago Movie work?

Live action would be so cool!!!! I must say, I like the redesigns though. Also, do you think Cole is darker completion? Almost everyone draws him that way.

Yes, I meant a Live-Action PG-13 Ninjago movie.

Yeah I know, it would be really cool I think.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures (but would Cartoon Network get credit on this Live-Action Ninjago Movie?)
0 ups, 4y
Idk....Maybe not if they don't play it on CN?
0 ups, 4y
Not a TV Film, a Theatrical Live-Action Ninjago Movie. it would probably cost $160 Million to make....
0 ups, 4y
I wonder who would play them though?

Shadow of Ronin would fit well for a Live-Action PG-13 Ninjago movie!

Yeah! The ninja would probably have to be played by new actors since there are not that many people that look like the ninja, not that I can think of anyway.

Who would be cast as a ninja, Tom Holland?
0 ups, 4y,

I was thinking Japanese actors.
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Oh, well most of the movie would be shot in Japan, as well as having some green screen elements.
0 ups, 4y,

Yeah, and it would take quite a few martial artists to play in certain parts.

What would the variants be for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Hmm, I don't really know...
0 ups, 4y,

Warner Bros. films have a lot of variants, so probably the Warner Bros. logo is on a sword.
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Yeah, I think that would be awesome.
0 ups, 4y
The movie will be titled "Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin" it will be 2 hours and 13 minutes, and would be rated PG-13 for Martial Arts action violence and for some brief language.

No, about the scroll idea.
0 ups, 4y
So you like my logo variation idea for the movie?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
The cast would also be pretty large and the budget to make the film would probably have to be high.
0 ups, 4y
So it would cost $160 Million to make?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
That would be awesome!
0 ups, 4y
are you talking about the logo variation?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Yeah, or maybe on a scroll or a book even possibly a dragon symbol of some sorts.
0 ups, 4y
A Scroll rolls out out a printing of the Warner Bros. logo and then the scroll rolls up then rolls back down to roll out a printing of the Legendary Pictures logo, then the camera pans outward to start the movie.
0 ups, 4y
Yeah, somewhere around there I'm guessing.

The actors playing the Ninjas would be aged between 21-28 to play them
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
I was thinking 17-19 because they all seem in that range.

Makes sense, but what would the plot be?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Maybe like the first season?
0 ups, 4y,

From there the Snake army would be motion capture CGI, would the special effects be done by Sony Pictures Imageworks or Industrial Light & Magic?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Probably Sony Pictures I'm guessing. Who would play Wu I wonder?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Jackie Chan, and most of the cast would need stunt doubles.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Perfect Wu right here! Jackie Chan of course :D yeah, unless they could do their own stunts.

Have you ever heard of a Ninjago video game called Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Yeah but I don't know much about it.
0 ups, 4y
Well, here's all the cutscenes from the game, and you tell me if it works out for a live-action film or not: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWz6Ez1Q2Qg

Yeah, that would probably make a good one.
0 ups, 4y
Except some dialogue has to be changed to fit into a movie.

This Ninjago Movie caused financial damage to the Lego Movie franchise
0 ups, 4y,

yes

The Lego Movie 2 barely recouped its $99 Million budget, this was the final death blow to the franchise before the Lego Film rights were sold to Universal Pictures
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
And universal butchered ninjago, right?
0 ups, 4y,
1 reply
Since Warner Bros. owns Cartoon Network, they still have the rights to Ninjago, it's just that the Lego Movie franchise was sold off to Universal Pictures for a 5 year deal even though Warner Bros. Pictures still owns the rights to The Lego Movie, The Lego Batman Movie, The Lego Ninjago Movie, and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and its characters.

so, 2022, it will be good again
0 ups, 4y,

No, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part was released in February 2019, and Universal got the rights in December 2019. and the deal is set for 5 years
0 ups, 4y
Oh no, its 2024
