“Fake news,” or legitimate repurposing of an illustrative photo? You be the judge!

Is that an article from Kanyidaily.com? I’m not sure why I should have an opinion about what that website does.

I don't know where the article on the right comes from, but someone showed this to me yesterday as part of an effort to prove that all mainstream news is fake, basically. imgflip.com/i/44p54y#com4848450

Honestly I didn't really see a problem with the repurposing of the photo here, but the NYT's use of the photo on the left is obviously legitimate and can't be ruined by association with the article on the right.

I don’t have a problem with news outlets using stock photos provided they caption the photo as a stock photo and give credit to the photographer. Your example looks more like a shit website infringing on the NYT copyright.
