The term 'white privilege' is blaming, discriminatory, racially insensitive, and maybe worst of all inaccurate. A privilege is access to a benefit that you choose to exercise. Those referred to as white people don't have a choice in exercising this 'privilege.' If anything, one could make a case that the system is biased and exercises the privilege on their behalf. Including 'white' in the term makes those who are identified as white the villain of 'black victimhood.'
Even if we accept the concept of privilege, there are many kinds of privilege based on race, gender and social class - so why is 'white privilege' getting all the publicity?
'White' isn't even a definable race. What constitutes 'caucasian' cannot be agreed upon either. It's just a category of various ethnicities, some of which have something in commmon.
None of the above bothers me or is anything I normally waste time thinking about -- until someone tries to ram this shit down my throat. Then I *am* offended, and will show you what a fight is.
I apologize for using your meme as my soapbox. Fonda sucks, and always has.
