Not flaunting your own abilities.
People around you should be able to describe you as humble because it's not really something you can describe yourself as.
The ability to admit you in in of yourself is not enough. Being able to accept help, and recognizing when you fall short. Actually taking ownership of what you've done wrong. Putting others above yourself.
Good words, Pirate_melon_! A lot of us mentioned having a sober image of self before others but you're the first to say that being humble also means to take responsibility for one's actions, and that is definitely part of it. :)

Just to understand that you are at the same level as everyone else
Not a lot of us are taught thiis virtue as in our society, success is so admired admired that humility, gentleness, and meekness are all but forgotten. Maybe even to see those having the latter qualities as a sign of weakness or defeat.

agree to disagree? i see all of those qualities in people young and old on a regular basis. at least wise people still respect and appreciate them.
Well... almost. I remember seeing rap videos with singers wearing heavy golden chains around their neck, large rings, waving "Benjamins" like the plumes of Peakock, then go about with body guards.
I call being humble not bragging about being the best in skribbl.io! (greenfield if you are seeing this you would know how me and the other players feel.)
—Recognizing others may know more than you about certain things.
—Being willing to be corrected when presented new facts and perspectives.
—Apologizing.
—Not getting overly attached to any one way of thinking.
—Some good old self-deprecating humor!
I guess don't think you can do everything even when you know you need help. Nobody's perfect, and I guess being humble could also be accepting that fact.
