It's far worse than jackboot thuggery. It's murder.

Why wasn't this cop weeded out, before he was able to commit this savage act?

Let's first make sure he and the other cops who stood by and did nothing while this was happening, are put in jail for a long, long time (the rest of their lives, if the law allows for it.) Then let's find out why this cop got to be in the position to commit this savage act, so we can do everything possible to prevent something like this from happening again.

The punishment should fit the crime. Unfortunately in Minnesota they do not allow capital punishment.

George Floyd died because of an underlying medical condition. He had high blood pressure, asthma, etc. Nonetheless it was murder. I'm a retired cop and this guy disgraced the badge and the Oath he took to protect and serve. The victim wasn't arrested for a violent crime. He was unarmed. The officer's life was not in danger. You or I could be given a counterfeit $20.00 bill as change, then give it to another store clerk and if they were more attentive than you or I, might be able to tell the difference. I don't know about you, but when I receive change anywhere, I don't verify whether or not every bill I get is real. This could easily happen to you or me, but it doesn't justify the conduct of the officers involved. The other officers should be charged with aiding and abetting the commission of a felony. It was their obligation to stop their fellow officer from doing what he was doing and they failed to do so.
Well guess what? I also have high blood pressure, asthma, and COPD, in addition to Type 2 diabetes. If any police officer ever tried this with me, it would be my last breathing effort to take him out with me.

The George Floyd Murder was DELIBERATE to set off RACE RIOTS

Salute to you, officer!

Where I live (Denmark), if you want to work with children, you have to get an attest stating you are qualified. That goes both for paid positions like teacher or working in a kindergarten, and for voluntary work like e.g., a scout leader. That is because we have learned the hard way that such positions tend to attract pedophiles because it allows them to hold authority over children.

What we haven't figured out yet, to my amazement, is that the police force gives cops the authority to beat up and even kill people, and that therefore it attracts bullies and thugs and goons that need to be weeded out before they can even join the force. Even more amazing is the fact that honest cops will protect their "colleagues" if citizens complain about them out of misunderstood "loyalty to the corps".

I have no doubt that 99% of all cops are honest and hard-working, and do a great job of keeping honest citizens safe from criminals. But the 1% ruin it for everybody - their victims, and not least their colleagues - by creating distrust in the police force and other authorities.

It was looking a little like a tag-team match.

Remember when a black career criminal threw a white 5 year old boy off a third floor balcony in Minneapolis' Mall of the Americas? Me too. Remember the race riots? Me neither. Where was the outrage?
