I honestly hadn't anticipated you doing that to a liberal, troll or not. It may or may not surprise you to know that I cringe at some of the things I see posted by a select few of the more ignorant Trump supporters / conservatives / republicans here on the flip. There are plenty of good ones, but definitely a few who seem to have more hatred in them than good.

Like I've said, I'm not a conservative, nor a republican. I'm not asking you to do this, because it would be fairly pointless, but I bet if the top ten important liberal positions could somehow be identified, I would agree with at least four or five of them.

Trump didn’t start as a Republican, but he has now molded the GOP in his image. Never-Trump Republicans have either died or retired or left the party for the most part with the notable exceptions of the Romneys and Sasses.

I don’t know where the GOP goes after Trump though because he is such a singular figure and doesn’t have a clear successor. Pence I guess can do the job of a trollish know-nothing White House occupant but I don’t see him arousing the same passion among Trump’s base.

Guys like Pence (and Biden falls into this category, imo) who wouldn't be able to sniff their party's nomination had they not been VP, do not excite me. Pence is too much of a fundamental religious guy to win a general election, imo. And while the country is not yet ready for a gay president, imo, we do seem willing to reject someone who is easily perceived or portrayed as hating gays.

The republicans could do a 180, or they could try to find the next closest thing to Trump. I honestly don't care. I have a feeling they're not going to find anyone I can support. And after the way the Democrats have behaved since he was elected, I would have a hard time supporting one of them (again... yes, again!) I may have to go back to wasting my vote on a candidate with no chance of winning. I sort of miss those days...
