Good time to note Biden has not been accused of "rape" by anyone. (Tara Reade describes sexual assault.)

Trump has been accused of rape, at least three times.

1. His ex-wife Ivana did use the word "rape," but later walked it back:

"The mother of three children with Trump, Ivana Trump charges that Trump 'violated their bond of love' in a 1989 incident, which she has not described any further in public. She wrote that her reported words charging her ex-husband with 'rape' in a deposition were figurative, that stories about a rape are 'totally without merit' and she 'did not mean rape in the 'criminal sense.'' She is under a confidentiality agreement and cannot discuss her marriage publicly without approval from Donald Trump."

2. Most worryingly, Trump was accused of raping a 13-year-old in a 2016 lawsuit; he was named as one of two Defendants along with Jeffery Epstein, now publicly known as a pedophile. Google Katie Johnson or ask me for the affidavits if you want evidence of that. This Jane Doe plaintiff also had a third-party witness supporting her claims, who stated that she was a recruiter for Epstein's parties. Jane Doe dropped the suit, citing death threats.

Here, I'll just link it because it's easy: https://www.snopes.com/news/2016/06/23/donald-trump-rape-lawsuit/

3. E. Jean Carroll is the other one pursuing a claim against Trump for defamation and rape.

"Carroll describes running into Trump in a department store, where she says he recognized her for her widely-read advice column. Carroll says they went into a dressing room after Trump asked for her advice on a present – lingerie – for another woman. Inside, she alleges that he shoved her against a wall, 'forcing his fingers around my private area, thrusts his p**is halfway — or completely, I’m not certain — inside me.' A senior White House official issued a statement to NY Magazine calling the accusation, 'a completely false and unrealistic story.'”

All the other 20+ accusers of Trump "merely" allege varying degrees of sexual assault that Trump himself might describe as "grabbing by the pussy."

But yes, Trump supporters, please tell us more about Tara Reade.

It's not about Tara Reade. It's about situational morality.

It's about Trump, Kavanaugh, Biden, etc., etc., and how the Dems just seem to react a bit differently when it's their guy being accused of wrongdoing. It's about hypocrisy, which the Dems have in truck loads. Pubs too, but in this case, it's the Dems.

Except there actually a lot of liberal hand-wringing over the Tara Reade allegation. Some want Biden to step aside. Most like myself settle on the fact that Trump is (way) worse, and the unfeasibility of undoing the results of a primary election.

There's a lot of stuff on Tara Reade's background that raises red flags that gives reason to doubt her if you don't "believe all women."

But anyway that's all I'll say since one habit I'd like to change is not getting sucked into endless political debates

Absolutely there is a lot of hand-wringing on the left over the allegation. Sure, some want him to step aside, but I think those are the same folks who would want him to step aside for clearly having dementia.

What's the current delegate count? He's not over the top... yet, so a brokered convention is still a possibility. Hence my meme. I'm not worried about Biden beating Trump, but another Dem might stand a chance.

You don't have to convince me that Reade's story is not exactly rock solid. If it were up to me, I'd dismiss it summarily, given the absence of any proof. Now if more info were to be made public, then I'd reconsider. But then again, I felt the same way about Kavanaugh's accuser. I'm consistent like that.

Come on KF, I'm not the type to get sucked into endless political debates with you. You do remember, don't you, that at one point you called me a "reasonable conservative fellow", even though I'm not a conservative. Not a republican either, but nobody cares.

If Trump were still running on a strong economy that'd be one thing. But Trump doesn't offer much more to average Americans anymore than a molten core of hate and spin. It's enough for his hardcore supporters, but I don't see many of the same Independents who voted for him last time pulling the trigger again now that he has to run on a record, and against a (yes, flawed and cringey) but less-despised opponent than HRC.

Appreciate the comments, but that's all I'm going to say since I have to turn off this part of my brain.

Trump offers way more than you describe, which I think is a fairly silly characterization, and a bit beneath your usual attempts at fact-based counter punches.

Trump offers a way out of the self-imposed economic mess we're in right now, just as he offered supercharging that fabulous (as in anemic) Obama economy he inherited in 2017.

Do you honestly believe Joe Biden could get us out of this mess by continuing to spend, spend, spend? (which is undoubtedly what he'd do, since it's the liberal way) Spending will only take us so far, and I think independent voters recognize that for sure, as will some moderate Democrat voters.

Plus, just think about what a debacle the debates will be! The fierce, super aggressive, in your face, in-command-of-facts Joe Biden of 2012 who went toe to toe in a debate with Paul Ryan is long gone. And Trump will offer Biden no quarter when he stumbles and stammers. We've seen how he mocks people, right? The only risk Trump runs is being viewed as being *too* mean to a poor old defenseless demented guy. And I think the voters have shown they don't care about his personality as much as they care about what he can do for the country.

And it's not just sexual allegations. It even goes all the way to the top.

You can't tell me president Obama has such a poor memory, right?
